Around 90 members and friends of Gnoo Blas gathered under shady trees at Lake Canobolas to celebrate Christmas 2024 on a splendid 32 degree summer’s day on Sunday 15 December. The club layed on a magnificent spread with many contributions from members which added to the feast.
Special thanks to Bunnings, Orange for their donation of a Jumbuck 6 burner BBQ which was expertly operated on it’s maiden outing by Wayne Swadling, Ray Hallett and Alan Piper. The most generous donation by Linda Williamson at Bunnings Orange was made possible by the very persausive overtures of Glenn Turner & Bob Nash. Well done gentlemen!
Additional special thanks goes to Woodward Street Quality Meats for their contribution to our Christmas event for their most generous discount on the deliciously tasty sausages and rissoles.
Leanne Harris & Tim Guinness were both presented with plaques for their dedication to the club. Gnoo Blas greatly appreciates Leanne’s management of the merchandise department over a number of years. Tim Guinesses’ work on the canopy over the new Gnoo Blas trailer, ably assisted by Steve Evans, and which saw it’s debut at the recent Big Boys Toys event in October, has become an excellent asset to the club.
The Gnoo Blas Classic Car Club, Orange wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and acknowledges the valuable contribution of the committee members, all the volunteers and participants that have played a part in staging our events and helped raise funds for the various causes we supported in 2024.
