The journey begins…

The Gnoo Blas Classic Car Club has commenced the bold steps to finally realise the dream of the club’s founder and past President, Denis Gregory, to establish a Gnoo Blas Museum within the layout of the original historic Gnoo Blas racing circuit.
As the Club and its committee work through each step required to bring the museum to fruition, this page will catalogue our progress and provide a record of our amazing journey.

On Tuesday 16th September 2025, President Wayne Swadling and Bob Nash travelled to Sydney and met with the Hon. Stephen Kamper MP, at Parliament House.
Minister Kamper is the Minister for Lands and Property as well as Minister for Multiculturalism, Minister for Sport, and Minister for Jobs and Tourism.
Our meeting with Minister Kamper was facilitated by our local member, the Honourable MP Phil Donato, introduced us to the Minister and spoke of the background of the Gnoo Blas Racetrack, sharing the role that our car club plays in this local community, and how this Museum would be of significant value to our local community and the Central West.
Minister Kamper was enthusiastic about our project and affirmed that we had his support. The Minister advised that our best route regarding the land, was to apply to Orange City Council for a 30-year lease at a peppercorn rate, which he advised the Council have the authority to grant.
The Minister’s office will provide further details of the way forward, via Phil Donato’s office.
