Gnoo Blas Classic Car Club member Joseph Sarkozi displayed his R40 Rover 75 at the 2024 National Rove – Pride of Ownership Display at the Oberon-Tarana Heritage Railway on Saturday 2 November. There were aound 60 Rover and Land Rover vehicles on display in Oberon from NSW, VIC, QLD, SA & WA. Plaques were awarded based on presentation, condition and originality in each Rover model category. After intense scrutiny by ROCnsw judges “Connie” was awarded best R40 Rover 75 at Sunday’s presentation dinner in Wallerawang edging out a very rare rear-drive V8 engined Rover 75.
National Rove is a biennial event held in a different region each year. This year Rove was centered on the Central West, the next National Rove moves to Western Australia in 2026. Joe participated on Saturday’s Pride of Ownership as a member of the Rover Owners Club of NSW who hosted this year’s event.
